‘Root For Earth’
Earth Day is Monday April 22, 2013. In order to help teach our children how important it is to take care of our planet the Goddard School will be participating in fun educational activities on Monday and calling it “Root For Earth”. The children will be reading books about our Earth and learning songs about how we can take care of it. We will also do the following activities together as a school:
1. Plant A Seed – your child will learn about plants and trees and how they are good for our environment while they help plant flowers in their classrooms!
2. Decorate a Banner – each classroom will decorate their own banner for “Root For Earth” by drawing, coloring and stamping with friends!
3. Create a Recyclable Door – the children will work together to glue recyclables that were brought in to their classroom recycle bin on their class door!
Please feel free to stop in and “Root For Earth” with the Goddard School in Chalfont!
