Celebrating Earth Day!!

Gardening - Kids & TeacherHappy Earth Day!

Today our school celebrated “Earth Day” by participating in numerous activities:

1. We turned the lights off at 10:00 a.m. for an hour to do our part to conserve energy!

2. The children worked together to decorate an “Earth Day” poster representing their classroom!

3. The children and teacher read “Earth Day” books and sang songs about our beautiful Earth!

4. The children built structures using a variety of recyclables!

5. We will have the children plant flowers outside of the school (when it’s nicer weather)!

Ask your children all the things they learned about our Earth and how we can take care of it!

Book Fair: The book fair will be here from April 16th to the 25th. As always, the book fair is a ‘pay and take’ event. We except cash, checks, and credit cards.

Spring Attire: Please make sure to update your child’s spare clothing in their cubby for the nicer weather!

Spring Break: We will be closed on Friday, April 18th and Monday, April 21st. We hope you and your family have a nice long weekend
together!

Fall Registration: Summer Camp registration is over and we will now begin Fall 2014 registration. The annual registration is $125 per child. We will be adding this fee to your tuition statement in a few weeks. When your registration fee is paid, this will secure your child’s placement for September. If your child will not be attending Goddard this Fall, please let us know so we don’t charge your account.

And with green grass and bursting trees
Leans to the sun’s kiss glorying,
And quivers in the sunny breeze.”
