Cold and Flu Season

Winter brings sledding, skiing, skating and other fun activities for your children. However, a few things associated with Winter that is not enjoyable are GERMS. It doesn’t matter whether it is the flu, stomach bug or common cold, when it’s a germ it hits you hard (especially your child). Here are some helpful hints that you and your child could do to help prevent these nasty germs from attacking you and your family during these Winter months:

1. Always cover your mouth in your sleeve or elbow when you sneeze or cough.
2. Always wash your hands when you sneeze, cough or blow your nose.
3. If someone shows symptoms of being sick try to keep your distance, at least 3
4. If your child is showing symptoms or has a fever try to keep them home in
order to decrease the chance of spreading it to other children.
5. Make sure to clean and sanitize toys or other objects that may have germs on
them so they don’t cause more sickness down the road.

I hope you and your family have a fun winter and stay healthy as much as possible!!
