The Nation’s Leading Preschool System Invites Its Alumni To Apply For A $10,000 College Scholarship

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (January 19, 2016)Goddard Systems, Inc. (GSI), the national franchisor of TheAAMS - Haley Check Presentation Goddard School® preschool system focused on learning through play, is now accepting applications for the 8th annual Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship. Awarded annually to one high school senior who graduated from The Goddard School Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten program, the prestigious scholarship honors an alumnus whose work ethic and perseverance parallels that of Anthony A. Martino, the founder of The Goddard School franchise system.

Three finalists will be selected based on academic record, participation in school, community service, work experience, expressed goals and aspirations along with a video submission. Awarding more than $70,000 through the Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship, The Goddard School continues to provide windows of opportunity to college-bound alumni.

We use fun, hands-on activities to instill a healthy love of learning while encouraging their natural curiosity. Applications must be submitted by March 11, 2016 to be considered for the scholarship. The finalists for the scholarship will be selected and notified on or before April 4, 2016 and will be posted on Goddard System, Inc.’s social media accounts by April 25, 2016. The recipient will be selected and announced on or beforeMay 10, 2016. Only one recipient will be selected for the Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship.

Former Student, Haley Malloy, Awarded $10,000 Toward College Tuition

on learning through play for children from six weeks to six years old, proudly announces Haley Malloy of Henrico, VA as the winner of the 7th annual Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is open nationally to seniors in high school who have graduated from The Goddard School Pre-K or Kindergarten program, and is awarded to one applicant who has demonstrated the work ethic and perseverance that exemplified Anthony A. Martino, the founder of The Goddard School franchise system.

Haley graduated from the Pre-K program at The Goddard School located in Henrico, VA in 2002, and credits much of her academic success and career path to her early experiences at The Goddard School. Having already made the decision to attend Texas Christian University, Haley will be pursuing a degree in early education when she begins college this fall. Katrina David and Matthew Newman who attended The Goddard Schools located in Sayreville, NJ and Montgomeryville, PA respectively, were selected as finalists for the scholarship.

The Goddard School® preschool system which focuses on learning through play, is putting out a call for entries for its 7th annual Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship. Open to any senior in high school who has graduated from The Goddard School Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten program, the scholarship is awarded annually to a graduate who has demonstrated the work ethic and perseverance exemplified by Anthony A. Martino, the founder of The Goddard School franchise system.

The Scholarship finalists will be selected based on academic record, participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, expressed goals and aspirations along with a video submission. Awarding more than $60,000 through the Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship, The Goddard School continuously provides opportunities and benefits for college-bound alumni.

 Scholarship Program Recognizes Goddard School Alumni for Excellence in Education

A check for $10,000 was presented to Ethan Mandel of Maple Glen by Joe Schumacher, Chief Executive Officer for Goddard Systems, Inc. (GSI), franchisor of The Goddard School®, and Brian Clark, on-site owner of The Goddard School located in Horsham. GSI has named Ethan Mandel the 2013 recipient of the sixth annual Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship (AAMMS). The $10,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or senior in high school student who graduated from The Goddard School.

The AAMMS is named in memory of the founder of The Goddard School franchise system, an entrepreneur who started several other well-known franchise companies including AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. and MAACO Auto Painting and Bodyworks, Inc. Mr. Martino worked his way up from humble beginnings to achieve great things for himself and his family. In the spirit of Martino’s successes, the AAMMS scholarship is awarded to a graduate who demonstrates the work ethic and perseverance that exemplified Martino’s commitment to his career, family and community.

Winner Ethan Mandel attended The Goddard School located in Horsham, PA and graduated from the school’s Pre-Kindergarten program in 2000. Mandel, also a graduate of Upper Dublin High School with an outstanding academic background, will be attending Temple University, Fox School of Business, in the fall and plans to study in the school’s honors program for marketing and business administration.

The public was invited to help select the scholarship recipient. Videos of the top three finalists were posted on The Goddard School Facebook page and fans voted for their top choice. The AAMMS winner receives $10,000 to use toward their education at an accredited college or university. The runner ups receive a gift card to use towards books and school supplies.

“The Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to a graduate from The Goddard School who demonstrates the work ethic and perseverance that exemplified Martino’s commitment to his career, family and community,” says Joe Schumacher, Chief Executive Officer for GSI. “We have many alumni who meet the criteria, but Ethan really stands out. We are delighted to recognize Ethan as he embarks on his college career; Ethan and his family are truly deserving.”

“As a preschooler, Ethan was full of spirit and so eager to learn. We know he will go on to do great things,” says Brian Clark, on-site owner of The Goddard School located in Horsham. “We’re just so proud of Ethan and thrilled for his family.”

“The Goddard School is a key example in my life of paying it forward, a staple in my lifetime goals, and helped shape me into the well-rounded individual that I am today,” said Mandel. “I am thrilled to have been selected for this scholarship and to be recognized by Goddard Systems for my academic achievement.”

“Goddard invests their heart and soul in our children and I recently found out that their investment does not end there,” says Karen Mandel, Ethan’s mother. “As a single mom, working full time, the challenges that I faced raising two sons were insurmountable.  I felt like Goddard became my ‘daytime support system’ when it came to providing Ethan with a learning environment that was fun and fundamental.”

The Goddard School Announces Last Call for $10K Scholarship

WHAT:            The Goddard School®, the premier preschool and childcare center for children from six weeks to six years, is calling all graduates to apply for the 2013 Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship (AAMMS). The $10,000 scholarship is open to any junior or senior in high school who graduated from a Goddard School pre-kindergarten or kindergarten program.

To apply, eligible students must submit a completed application along with a 30- to 120-second video essay about how their Goddard experience influenced their career path or education.

WHEN:            Completed applications must be submitted by March 27, 2013.

Scholarship Program Recognizes Three Goddard School Alumni for Excellence in Education

Goddard Systems, Inc., franchisor of The Goddard School®, has named Emily Moss of Dublin, OH, the 2012 recipient of the fifth annual Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship (AAMMS). The $10,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or senior in high school who graduated from The Goddard School. This year’s other finalists included Haley Carley of Dublin, OH and Kristyn Tremblay of Mahwah, NJ.

The AAMMS is named in memory of the founder of The Goddard School franchise system, an entrepreneur who started several other well-known franchise companies including AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. and MAACO Auto Painting and Bodyworks, Inc. Mr. Martino worked his way up from humble beginnings to achieve great things for himself and his family.

This year, for the very first time, the public was invited to help select the scholarship recipient. Videos of the top three finalists were posted on The Goddard School Facebook page and fans voted for their top choice. The AAMMS winner will receive $10,000 to use toward their education at an accredited college or university. The two runners up will each receive a $250 Goddard School American Express Gift Card to use towards books and school supplies.

Winner Emily Moss attended The Goddard School located at 6239 Perimeter Drive in Dublin, OH and graduated from the school’s Pre-Kindergarten program in 1999. Moss, also a graduate of Dublin Jerome High School with an outstanding academic background, has been deeply involved in a variety of extra-curricular sports, clubs and volunteer activities. Moss will be attending Ohio State University in the fall and plans to study in the school’s honors program for neuroscience.

“The Goddard School always encouraged me to try new things and helped shape me into the well rounded individual that I am today,” said Moss. “I am thrilled to have been selected for this scholarship and recognized by Goddard Systems for my academic achievement.”

Finalist Harley Carley attended The Goddard School located at 6239 Perimeter Drive in Dublin, OH and graduated from the school’s Pre-Kindergarten program in 2000. Carley, a graduate of Dublin Coffman High School, has volunteered more than 100 hours at her area Ronald McDonald House. She was involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities and was named valedictorian of her class. Carley will be attending Emory University in the fall and plans to study anthropology and human biology.

“When I first went to The Goddard School, we had just moved from West Virginia, and it was a great way to meet people my own age,” said Carley. “The Goddard School helped me develop my people skills and think outside the box through different creative learning activities.”

Finalist Kristyn Tremblay attended The Goddard School located at 150 Hilltop Road in Ramsey, NJ and graduated from the school’s Pre-Kindergarten program in 1998. Tremblay, a graduate of Mahwah High School, has a superior academic background and has also been deeply involved in a variety of high school sports including soccer, basketball and lacrosse. Tremblay will be attending Towson University in the fall and plans to study marketing and fashion merchandising.

“From a young age, The Goddard School taught me to be independent and to work well with others,” said Tremblay. “The school also gave me the foundation to be a hard-working student, a committed teammate and a loyal friend. “
